Outside School Hours Care
The Geelong College offers a broad range of child-centred, engaging and fun activities in a stimulating, vibrant Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program at the Junior School at Campbell House. Open to College students and students from the region from 3 to 12 years, the program is inspired by the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach to learning.
The OSHC program is designed to foster friendships across multiple ages, consolidate learning, develop curiosity and encourage deep exploration through a range of new and exciting experiences. Children pursue personal interests and learning goals during their time in OSHC, and share their knowledge and experiences with others.
We run two programs to cater purposefully and sensitively for both pre-school and school-aged children.
Early Learners program
Early Learning conducts a daily OSHC program before school from 8:00-9:00am and after school from 3.00 - 6:00pm within the Early Learning grounds. Children immediately feel at ease as they are familiar with the staff and environment, which in turn makes for a seamless transition between the OSHC and Early Learning programs.
School aged program
School-aged children enjoy before school supervision from 8:00am - 8:50am and participate in our Outside School Hours Care Program from 3:25pm - 6:00pm during the week. Similarly, the school care programs are conducted in familiar and comfortable surroundings (Junior School), with dedicated and qualified staff already known to the children.
In School Holidays
During the school holidays the program offers an excellent balance of campus based and excursion experiences, with great variety and of highest quality, for school aged and pre-school children. Facilities including The Recreation Centre, gymnasium, ovals and libraries are available for use.
Geelong College also offers special interest learning programs during the school holidays. Open to all students from around the region, these programs bring experts and Geelong College staff together to help students investigate, create and problem-solve. Designed to be fun and challenging, the special interest learning programs assist students to identify their passions and their strengths, and make new friends of different ages and backgrounds.
