The College has won a bronze medal in the final of the Under-19 Men's Coxed Four at the 2017 Sydney International Rowing Regatta.
The College crew of Ian Bell, Jack Thornton, Oscar Malone, Lachlan Sutherland and Edwina Doery was competing in a tough field of the eight best school coxed fours in the country.
They began with a 7:03.97 in the heat, 6.39 seconds behind the first-placed Newington.
The final was an extremely close race which saw Geelong Grammar, Newington and The Geelong College all battling for podium position throughout the race. In the end, only 1.44 seconds separated the top three, with Newington again in first, Grammar second and College third in 6:48.78.
Congratulations to Ian, Jack, Oscar, Lachlan, Edwina and their coach Andrew Cleary!
