Year 7s Get Involved in Eat Up
NONE

The Middle School Mezzanine was buzzing with activity on Wednesday 1 November, as some Year 7 students worked together to make hundreds of sandwiches for local students in need.

About 40 Year 7s, who nominated for student leadership roles next year, took to the task of assembling 750 sandwiches with much enthusiasm. They powered through the loaves of bread within 40 minutes - a great effort!

The Eat Up sandwich-making workshop was the fourth held at The Geelong College. The sandwiches were then taken by volunteers to various schools in the Geelong region, to be given to children who would have otherwise gone hungry through the school day.

It was fantastic to see our future Middle School leaders get behind this cause. Our next Eat Up workshop will involve Year 3 students on Friday 17 November.
