Another win for Tristan
NONE

Congratulations to our resident superfish, Recreation Centre manager Tristan Read who won the Master Men’s category of the Lorne Pier to Pub swim last Saturday. Tristan has won his age category at most of the ocean swims this summer culminating in the Pier to Pub.

Tristan led the Geelong College charge which saw lots of current students, parents, staff and Old Collegians try their luck over the famous 1.2km course.

Harriet Brown (OGC 2008) finished second to young star Lani Palliser in the open women’s race and Tristan ventured back to the pier to finish 15th in the open men’s race.

Current parents Tim Boness and Cheryl Boness finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the veteran men’s and women’s races.

Geelong College was also strongly represented in the Mountain to Surf run, held on last Friday morning, with Nick Wightman (OGC 2002) finishing 3rd in the open men’s race.

Well done to everyone who participated in these events and other events this summer – it’s good to see you keeping fit and healthy over the holidays!
