Four of Geelong College’s golfers ventured to Spring Valley Golf Club for the annual APS/AGSV/BAS schools golf tournament.

Years 9 and 10 students Max Green, Max Mauderer, Stirling Shier and Angelo Binos were fortunate to play their 18 holes in pristine conditions on Monday 30 April.

Max Mauderer reflected on his round by saying: “throughout yesterday’s round there were many ups and downs during the 18 holes. Playing against some of the best up-and-coming golfers in Victoria allowed me to experience areas of my game that I needed to focus on to be able to compete against them consistently across the 18 holes.”

Max Green shot +2 over par round of 73 to finish tied fifth. Stirling Shier also had a consistent round, shooting 81 with the average score of the day being 88 across all competitors. Angelo Binos made a number of good putts throughout the day and also drove the ball consistently well off the tee.
