Campbell House - Junior School Redevelopment Update

We are pleased to share with you an important step in the Campbell House – Junior School Redevelopment. The Geelong College Council has accepted the tender of Fairbrother Pty Ltd as the head contractor for the project. This is a very exciting point in the project as we can now move towards commencing major construction works on the site.

Fairbrother Pty Ltd is a regional builder with offices based in Bendigo and Warrnambool. They have a wealth of experience working in education settings and they are looking to forge a strong partnership with The Geelong College and John Wardle Architects to deliver this very important project.

In addition to our recent ceremony to mark the official launch of the project, the construction phase will commence in the next few weeks with the building of our wonderful new assembly hall "Wayaperree" as the first stage in the project. Wayaperree will be a focal point at the entrance of Campbell House – Junior School for our community to meet.

The Campbell House – Junior School Redevelopment is a large and complex project that will take over two years to complete. It is anticipated the construction phase will provide many opportunities for local businesses, suppliers and subcontractors; many of which are already a part of our College community. Once completed, it will be a sensational facility for students of The Geelong College for many years to come.

I look forward to providing you with further information as the project unfolds and I ask the community to be patient as we work through the excitement and challenges of the redevelopment.
