Year 8s Dive into Marine Biology Trips
NONE

During the last week of Term 2 and the mid-year holidays, 58 students across four groups participated in a Marine Biology educational program at the world renowned Lizard Island in Northern Queensland.

Staying at the Australian Museum Marine Research Centre, the students took part in lectures from accomplished Marine Biologists on topics such as fish behaviour, reef structure and coral disturbance and recovery.

Armed with this new knowledge, they snorkelled twice a day around the pristine reefs of Lizard Island, putting their theory into practice. It was a wonderful experience for all those involved and one that will not be forgotten any time soon.
