Workshop Puts Bowlers on the Fast Track

Ten of the College's fast bowlers had the opportunity to train under the guidance of fast bowling specialist Dr Simon Feros this week.

Dr Feros has worked with several Australian and international fast bowlers and is currently working at Deakin University. On Wednesday 29 November, together with our new Director of Cricket Coaching Tim Ludeman, he rotated the boys through some various bowling drills where they worked on bowling to hit the top of off stump, the perfect yorker and the art of swing.

The cricketers enjoyed the challenges set and finished with a fastest bowl competition, won by Hunter Locke with 113.6kph. It was very beneficial for the boys, with tips given along the way to help improve their technique. We hope to have some follow-up work with Simon during Term 1.
