Centre Update 4/11/2020

Dear Members,

Thank you once again for your support of the Recreation Centre.

Following the Victorian Government’s announcement last week Recreation Centre staff have been working to enable members to return for lap swmming in line with the restrictions still in place. From Monday 9 November we are excited to announce that lap swimmers will return to the Centre with a limit of ten swimmers per session. Bookings will open for the week following on on Friday 6 November.

Swimming memberships

• All current (3, 6 and 12 month) swimming memberships will remain suspended.
• A reminder that 10 visit passes don’t have an expiry date.

User Groups /Swim clubs

No user groups or swim club will be able to conduct their programs at the Centre during this closure period until further notice.

Recreation Centre Entry Fees and Charges:

During this period we are only able to offer restricted session times which are created via an online booking system. As we cannot guarantee lane space, therefore your memberships will not be reactivated until normal operating hours return and occupancy restrictions are further relieved. To access the centre an $8.00 entry fee is required for all Recreation Centre Members. Please Note:

  • Photo ID Membership cards are to be presented upon entry
  • No new membership applications will be accepted until further notice
  • EFTPOS/Credit Card is the preferred payment method for the $8 entry fee
Important operational information:

We have a number of safety measures in place to protect the health and wellbeing of our staff and members please ensure:

  • Bookings are made online prior to attending the centre
  • Social distancing is adhered to at all times
  • You sign in and have your temperature taken
  • You follow all directions from pool staff
  • You don’t use the communal showers
  • You don’t use the change rooms
  • You don’t use lockers
  • You park and access the Centre via Aphrasia Street only
  • You wear a mask except while swimming
Lap Swimming Procedures
  • Please arrive at Main Entry 10 minutes prior to your session commencing.
  • The booking is for 45 minutes in the pool then a 15 minute cleaning period, bookings commencing on the hour. The final session of the morning is a 30 minute session
  • Lifeguards will provide instructions when it is time to exit the pool. Prepare to collect your belongings and exit the Centre via the sliding door at the deep end of pool. Patrons must depart the centre prior to the next hour commencing.
  • Late arrivals must swim within their booking hour and cannot carry over into the next hour.
