The Geelong College Recreation Centre’s Learn-to-Dive program offers lessons for beginner and developing divers from 8 years of age. Lessons are conducted by Diving Australia accredited coaches and follow a series of skill-based classes focusing on fun and safety whilst also improving technique and confidence.

Days and Times

The Learn-to-Dive program runs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 5 – 6pm.


$18 per lesson charged per term at the beginning of the term.

Learn-to-dive Entry Requirements
  • Minimum age of 8 years old
  • Interest in diving
  • Ability to swim 25m unassisted in deep water
  • Ability to easily understand and follow verbal instructions
  • Awareness of safety in regard to self and others
  • Gymnastics, trampoline and dance experience is an advantage
Learn-to-Dive Levels

Students will work towards these competencies and should be able to consistenly perform them before progressing to the next level.
